The Hayes Foundation’s SUMMER STUDY grants are awarded in order to assist highly capable students attend intensive and selective programs of summer study.   Grant amounts vary widely according to program cost, family need, and the strength of the written application. Programs and activities for which grants are requested should be rigorous learning experiences requiring study and performance. and programs should be willing to provide written evaluations of participants’ achievement in the program. The Board considers all grant requests together, after the May deadline.  First priority is given to students who have completed one or more Hayes  SUMMERWEEK programs.
