School Year Study Grants The Hayes Foundation considers grant requests to enable capable Rutland County students to participate in selective activities during the school year. These activities may be established programs or self-designed projects. Organized school activities, class trips, music lessons, etc., are not eligible for funding. SCHOOL YEAR GRANT applications are reviewed on an on-going basis at the Board’s meetings, usually in September and January. As with Hayes SUMMER STUDY grants, first priority is given to applicants who have completed Hayes SUMMERWEEK programs.
Some programs which Hayes grantees have attended in recent years are: The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) summer programs Concordia Language Villages summer camp programs on Minnesota lakes Putney Summer School Programs in Vermont The Phillips Exeter Academy Summer School Village Harmony Camps Kinhaven Music School The Great Books Summer Program at Amherst College, Massachusetts Also useful for locating good summer learning programs for capable students |
